A rarity in so many ways -  a 1973 VW T2 Campervan in RHD with very low-mileage and UK-supplied. 
 
Originally delivered as a 1700cc Automatic, if benefits from being upgraded to the much sought-after 2 litre engine and manual gearbox, allowing it to keep up with modern day traffic with enviable ease. Get behind the customised steering wheel which is engraved with Riley’s name, and you'll soon feel those holiday vibes as you drives on your way in a surprisingly compliant and direct manner - although in the typically eccentric style so admired of these particular Volkswagens.

The interior has been treated to a thorough, bespoke makeover with a craftsmanship that is exemplary.
 
The seats feature a complimentary orange and green Gingham cloth insert, with solid orange outers and piping. The windows are clothed with green curtains. There’s a Rusty Lee rock and roll double bed, a front-hinged pop-top roof with new canvas and mosquito netting, a luxurious memory foam mattress, a stainless steel sink, a fridge, a 2-ring gas cooker, a foldaway table (removable), a centre console with storage and drink holders, a stereo with multiple speakers and a sub-woofer, and lots and lots of additional storage cupboards.
 
For conveniences, there’s an electric water pump, a 240v hook-up connection and a leisure battery with double plug sockets in the bench seat.

With a vast history file, the mileage of a mere 39,000 miles can be warranted through the many documents the camper has collected over the years. Within the many invoices and MOT certificates are the original VW handbook, an instruction manual for the use of the camper’s facilities, many campervan related books, and most interestingly, a lovely hand-written hardback book detailing some of its early history by previous owners.
